Description

Tar-Miriel (Ar-Zimraphel) was the daughter of Tar-Palantir (Inziladun). According to the laws of Numenorian succession, she should have become the Ruling Queen after his death, however her cousin Pharazon forced her to marry him and he usurped her throne. Had Miriel become Queen it is possible that Numenor would not have fallen, since, though she was a member of the Faithful, her husband was a King's Man and it was he who led the fleet against the Valar. She died in the Flooding of Numenor.

Very sad. I wish Eru had done something to save her. Imagine her becoming queen of Gondor and slaying Sauron during the siege of Barad-Dur. I wonder if she could have destroyed the Ring.
